Life is good. I have had three days of excellent work meetings away from my Connecticut home base and there are many things to follow up on, including two very intriguing opportunities that I had not even envisioned three days ago.
Mom, Dad and I have shared three simple, but nonetheless great evening meals together. Tonight Dad cooked and the focus of the meal was on the various purchased salads that accompanied the meat he selected. As always, the conversation was lively and bounced around touching on many subjects. Fortunately, the OED (Oxford English Dictionary) stayed on its shelf near my Dad's dinner seat since there were no unusual words used about which exact meaning needed to be checked or validated
After washing the dishes and having some fruit for dessert, I took advantage of the cool evening temperatures to complete a walk slightly longer than three miles. That pushed today's step count above 13,200 and also ensured that the consecutive day count is now 41. Sometime this weekend I hope to calculate just where I stand relative to the one million step challenge.
